Step 1: Gathering the necessary tools and materials

* New gearbox
* ATF transmission oil
* New transmission filter
* Pan gasket
* Valve body housing gasket
* Hex keys and Torx keys
* Funnel
* Basin for collecting liquid

Step 2: Preparing to Remove the Transmission

* Make sure the car is parked on a level surface.
* Install wheel chocks under the wheels.
* Disconnect the battery.

Step 3: Removing the Old Transmission

* Disconnect the shift cable from the transmission.
* Remove the driveshaft and drive shafts.
* Unscrew the bolts securing the gearbox to the engine.
*Using a jack, carefully lower the transmission and remove it from under the vehicle.

Step 4: Install the New Transmission

* Install the valve body gasket on the new gearbox.
* Insert the new transmission into place, aligning it with the engine.
* Tighten the transmission mounting bolts.
* Install the drive shafts and propeller shaft.
* Connect the shift cable to the gearbox.

Step 5: Replace the filter and pan gasket

* Unscrew the transmission pan bolts and remove the pan.
* Remove the old filter and install the new one.
* Install a new pan gasket and tighten the pan bolts.

Step 6: Filling with gear oil

* Unscrew the transmission filler plug and fill in new ATF oil through the funnel.
* Check the oil level using the dipstick and add oil if necessary.

Step 7: Shutdown

* Connect the battery.
* Start the engine and check the operation of the gearbox.
* Shift gear in all positions to ensure there are no leaks.

Adviсe:

*Always use the manufacturer’s recommended ATF.
* Make sure all bolts and connections are thoroughly tightened.
*Check the transmission oil level after driving for a few miles.
* Reset transmission adaptation if applicable for your vehicle.
