Required tools:
* Jack
* Jack stands
* Set of keys
* Hex key (for some fasteners)
* New engine mounts
Precautions:
* Perform work on a flat surface with a cool engine.
* Use wheel chocks to prevent vehicle movement.
* Be careful, some engine parts may be hot.
Work order:
1. Preparation:
* Put the car on the parking brake.
*Using a jack, raise the front of the car and place jack stands for safety.
2. Removing the top cushion:
* Open the hood and locate the engine upper mount located under the exhaust manifold.
* Unscrew the bolts securing the cushion to the engine and frame of the car.
*Remove the pillow.
3. Removing the front airbag:
* Locate the front engine mount located under the crankshaft pulley.
* Unscrew the bolts securing the cushion to the engine and frame of the car.
*Remove the pillow.
4. Removing the rear cushion:
* Locate the rear engine mount located under the cylinder block on the flywheel side.
* Unscrew the bolts securing the cushion to the engine and frame of the car.
*Remove the pillow.
5. Installing new pillows:
* Install new engine mounts in reverse order of removal.
* Tighten all bolts to the specified torque.
6. Assembly:
* Lower the car from the jack.
*Remove the jack stands.
* Start the engine and check for any abnormal sounds or vibrations.
Adviсe:
* When replacing engine mounts, it is recommended to use new bolts.
*If you are unsure of your skills, seek assistance from a qualified mechanic.
* After replacing engine mounts, wheel toe adjustment may be necessary.
