Required tools and materials:
* New transmission bearing kit
* Bearing puller
* Set of socket wrenches
* Hex key set
* Transmission gasket sealant
* Rags or paper towels
* Brake cleaner
* Transmission fluid
* Gearbox
Bearing replacement guide:
1. Preparation:
* Place the vehicle on a level surface with the gear shift lever in the “Park” position.
* Release the parking brake.
* Disconnect the negative terminal of the battery.
2. Removing the gearbox:
* Remove the air filter and disconnect all electrical connectors from the transmission.
* Disconnect the drive shafts from the transmission.
* Remove the bolts securing the gearbox to the engine.
* Carefully remove the gearbox and move it to the side.
3. Disassembling the gearbox:
* Unscrew the bolts securing the transmission pan and remove the pan.
* Remove old oil from the gearbox.
* Remove the bolts securing the gearbox cover.
* Carefully lift the cover and remove it.
4. Replacement of bearings:
* Using a bearing puller, remove the old bearings from the transmission shafts.
* Clean the transmission shafts of old grease and dirt with brake cleaner.
* Apply new grease to the gearbox shafts.
* Install new bearings on the transmission shafts.
*Use a bearing puller to tighten the bearings onto the shafts.
5. Gearbox assembly:
* Reinstall the gearbox cover and tighten the bolts.
* Install the transmission pan and tighten the bolts.
* Pour new transmission fluid into the gearbox.
6. Gearbox installation:
* Lift the transmission into place and insert it into the engine.
* Tighten the bolts securing the gearbox to the engine.
* Connect the drive shafts to the gearbox.
* Connect all electrical connectors to the transmission.
* Install the air filter.
7. Completion:
* Connect the negative terminal of the battery.
* Start the engine and let it idle for a few minutes to circulate the transmission fluid.
* Check the transmission fluid level and add it if necessary.
* Reset the transmission computer by disconnecting the negative terminal of the battery for about 30 minutes.
