Peugeot 307 automatic transmission pressure adjustment

Tools and materials:

* Pressure gauge for measuring automatic transmission pressure
* Wrench set
* Transmission fluid ATF

Precautions:

* Perform work on a cold automatic transmission.
*Use only recommended transmission fluid.
* Maintain cleanliness and safety.

Instructions:

1. Check the fluid level: Check the automatic transmission fluid level using the dipstick and add it if necessary.

2. Start the engine: Start the engine and let it idle.

3. Locate the adjusting screw: The automatic transmission pressure adjusting screw is usually located near the line pressure solenoid.

4. Connect the pressure gauge: Connect the pressure gauge to the automatic transmission test port. It is usually located on the transmission housing or on the oil pan.

5. Check the pressure: Check the automatic transmission pressure at idle and at different engine speeds. Compare the values ​​obtained with those indicated in the repair manual.

6. Adjust the pressure: If the pressure is not correct, adjust it as follows:

* Unscrew the lock nut on the adjusting screw with a wrench.
* Carefully turn the adjustment screw 1/4 turn at a time using a screwdriver.
* Check the pressure after each change and adjust the screw until it reaches the required value.

7. Tighten the lock nut: After adjusting the pressure, tighten the lock nut to fix the position of the adjusting screw.

8. Reset fault codes: Reset automatic transmission fault codes using an OBD-II scanner.

Note:

* Checking and adjusting automatic transmission pressure should be performed by a qualified technician.
* Incorrect adjustment may damage the automatic transmission.
* Check the automatic transmission pressure regularly and adjust it if necessary to extend the life of the transmission.
