Self-diagnosis procedure

1. Check the transmission fluid level. The fluid should be at a level between the “MIN” and “MAX” marks on the dipstick.
2. Connect a paperclip or wire to pins A and B on the diagnostic connector. The connector is located under the dashboard cover next to the steering column.
3. Turn on the ignition.
4. Count the number of alarm flashes. The alarm will flash up to 11 times to indicate a fault code.

For example: If the warning light flashes 4 times, it indicates error code 4 (transmission fluid temperature sensor).

Clearing fault codes

1. Remove the paperclip or wire from the diagnostic connector.
2. Turn off the ignition for 10 seconds.
3. Turn on the ignition and start the engine.
4. Fault codes must be cleared.

Notes:

*If a DTC is detected, contact a qualified mechanic for further diagnosis and repair.
* Do not attempt to repair the automatic transmission yourself, as this may cause serious damage.
