Automatic transmission selector illumination Nissan Almera H16

Required tools:

* Phillips screwdriver
* Plastic trim removal tool (optional)

Instructions:

1. Removing the center console:

* Remove the plug near the handbrake lever and remove the two Phillips screws.
*Using a plastic trim tool or a flathead screwdriver, carefully pry up the center console and remove it.
* Do not completely remove the center console, just bend it enough to gain access to the automatic transmission selector unit.

2. Removing the automatic transmission selector block:

* Remove the two Phillips screws that secure the transmission selector assembly to the center console.
* Gently pull the selector block up and disconnect it from the connectors.

3. Backlight installation:

* Find the backlight bulb on the automatic transmission selector block.
*Remove the old light bulb and replace it with a new one.
*It is recommended to use a light emitting diode (LED) bulb for brighter and longer lasting illumination.
* Make sure the new bulb’s pins are connected correctly.

4. Assembly:

* Reinstall the automatic transmission selector assembly onto the center console and secure it with two Phillips screws.
* Connect the connectors.
* Reinstall the center console and secure it with screws.
* Install a plug near the handbrake lever.

Functionality check:

Check that the automatic transmission selector illumination is working properly. Switch the selector to different positions to ensure that all positions are illuminated.
