Machine electrical specialist
Job description:
A machine electrical technician installs, maintains, and repairs electrical systems in cars, trucks, and other types of machinery. They are responsible for diagnosing, troubleshooting and repairing electronic components, including ignition, lighting, charging and engine management systems.
Responsibilities:
* Diagnosis and troubleshooting of electrical systems of vehicles
* Installation and replacement of electrical components such as alternators, starters, batteries, wiring and fuses
* Perform preventive maintenance on electrical systems, including cleaning and lubricating contacts
* Installation and configuration of electronic engine control systems
* Diagnostics and repair of lighting systems, turn signals and brake lights
*Manage electronic diagnostic tools and software
* Compliance with safety and manufacturing standards
*Work closely with mechanics and other vehicle maintenance professionals
Qualification:
*Technical College Diploma or Apprenticeship in Electrical Engineering
* Knowledge of electrical principles, electronic circuits and automotive systems
* Experience in diagnosing and repairing vehicle electrical systems
* Ability to work with hand and power tools
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
