The automatic transmission drain plug on the Kia Sportage is located at the bottom of the gearbox.
Steps to find the automatic transmission drain plug:
1. Raise the vehicle on a lift or use jacks and stands to provide safe access to the underbody of the vehicle.
2. Locate the automatic transmission, which is usually located between the engine and the front wheels.
3. Inspect the lower part of the automatic transmission for the presence of a drain plug. This is usually a 17mm hex plug located at the lowest point of the gearbox.

* The drain plug may be difficult to access due to surrounding protection such as covers or skid plates.
