Electrical equipment of a KamAZ vehicle

The electrical equipment of KamAZ vehicles is designed to ensure the operation of the engine, transmission, chassis, body and other vehicle systems. To supply consumers with electrical energy, a set of electrical equipment is installed in the car, including current sources, a control system, consumer electrical equipment and electrical wiring.

Current sources

The main source of current in a car is the battery, which provides power to all systems when the engine is not running. The battery consists of six cells connected in series with a capacity of 190 Ah. To recharge the battery while the engine is running, the car uses an alternating current generator with a rectifier unit. The generator has a rated power of 1500 W.

Control system

The electrical control system includes the following elements:

* battery switch
* generator control relay
* starter

The battery switch is designed to turn the battery on and off. The generator control relay is designed to connect the generator to the electrical circuit. The starter is designed to start the car engine.

Consumer electrical equipment

Consumer electrical equipment includes:

* lighting fixtures
* sound signals
* instruments and sensors
* electric drives

Lighting devices include headlights, taillights, turn signals and others. Sound signals include horn, siren and others. Instruments and sensors include a speedometer, tachometer, fuel level sensor and others. Electric drives include electric window lifts, electric windshield wipers and others.

Wiring

Electrical wiring is intended for electrical connection of current sources with consumers. Electrical wiring is made of copper wires and cables. The diameter of wires and cables depends on the power consumption of consumers. Electrical wiring is protected from mechanical damage by insulating tape, corrugated tubes and other protective means.

Electrical diagram

The electrical circuit diagram of a KamAZ vehicle contains all the elements that make up the electrical equipment, as well as their connections. The electrical circuit diagram allows for maintenance, diagnostics and repair of electrical equipment.
