Via scanner:

For vehicles with an electronic control unit (ECU) for JATCO JF011E and JF015E automatic transmissions:

1. Connect the scanner to the vehicle’s diagnostic connector.
2. Select the ‘Automatic transmission’ section or similar.
3. Find the function ‘Reset automatic transmission adaptation’ or ‘Automatic transmission calibration’.
4. Follow the instructions on the scanner screen to complete the reset process.

For vehicles with automatic transmission ECU JATCO JF010E, RE4F04B and RE4F03B:

1. Connect the scanner to the vehicle’s diagnostic connector.
2. Select the ‘Automatic transmission’ section or similar.
3. Find the ‘Automatic Transmission Calibration’ function.
4. Follow the instructions on the scanner screen to complete the reset process.

Manually:

For vehicles with mechanical cable-controlled automatic transmission:

1. Disconnect the gear selector position sensor connector.
2. Start the engine and let it idle for 10-15 minutes.
3. Stop the engine.
4. Reconnect the shift position sensor connector.
5. Start the engine and drive in various driving modes (acceleration, braking, stopping) for 10-15 minutes.

For vehicles with electronically controlled automatic transmission:

IMPORTANT: This method is not recommended for all Nissan models and may cause problems if performed incorrectly. Contact a qualified mechanic if you are not experienced in servicing automatic transmissions.

1. Locate the fuse that supplies power to the automatic transmission ECU (usually labeled ‘AT’ or ‘TCM’).
2. Remove the fuse for 30-60 seconds.
3. Reinsert the fuse.
4. Start the engine and drive in various driving modes (acceleration, braking, stopping) for 10-15 minutes.

After resetting the automatic transmission adaptation, it is recommended:

* Replace automatic transmission oil and filter.
* Check the automatic transmission fluid level.
* Diagnose the car for other problems that could affect the operation of the automatic transmission.
