Materials:

* 10 mm socket wrench
* Phillips screwdriver

Instructions:

1. Disconnect the negative terminal of the battery.
2. Remove the center console. To do this, unscrew the two Torx bolts at the bottom of the console and lift the console up and towards you.
3. Find the automatic transmission control unit. It is usually located under the center console, to the left of the steering column.
4. Disconnect the electrical connectors from the automatic transmission control unit. Press the latches on the connectors and pull them out.
5. Unscrew the bolt. One Torx bolt typically holds the transmission control unit in place. Unscrew the bolt.
6. Remove the automatic transmission control unit. Gently pull the control unit up and towards you, releasing it from its seat.

Assembly:

1. Insert the automatic transmission control unit into the seat.
2. Screw on the Torx bolt. Tighten it to about 10 Nm.
3. Connect the electrical connectors to the automatic transmission control unit. Press the tabs until the connectors click into place.
4. Reinstall the center console.
5. Connect the negative terminal of the battery.
