Required tools and materials:
* New gearbox
* Crank unscrewing tool
* Set of wrenches and ratchets
* Flat blade screwdriver
* Extension heads
* Funnel and transmission fluid
* Jack stands or lift
Instructions:
1. Preparing the car
* Put the car in park, apply the handbrake and turn off the engine.
* Disconnect the negative terminal from the battery.
* Raise the front of the car using a jack or lift and place it on stands.
2. Removing the old gearbox
* Open the hood and disconnect the negative cable from the battery.
*Remove the air filter.
* Disconnect all electrical connectors and vacuum hoses from the transmission.
* Disconnect the front wheel drives.
* Remove the bolts securing the gearbox to the engine and mounts.
* Carefully remove the gearbox from the engine.
3. Installation of a new gearbox
* Install the new gearbox in place, aligning it with the engine.
* Tighten the bolts holding the transmission to the engine and mounts.
* Connect the front wheel drives.
* Connect all electrical connectors and vacuum hoses.
4. Filling with transmission fluid
* Open the filler plug on the gearbox.
* Using a funnel, pour the required amount of transmission fluid into the gearbox.
* Tighten the filler plug.
5. Gear selector settings
*Place the gear selector in the “Park” position.
* Open the hood and locate the shift cable.
* Loosen the cable and adjust its length so that the gear selector switches clearly between all positions.
* Tighten the cable fasteners.
6.Complete installation
* Reinstall all removed components such as air filter, battery and terminals.
* Lower the vehicle from the stands.
* Connect the negative terminal to the battery.
* Start the engine and check the operation of the gearbox.
