Materials:
* 10 mm socket wrench
* Flat blade screwdriver
Instructions:
1. Disconnect the battery:
* Open the hood and disconnect the negative (-) cable from the battery.
2. Remove the selector cover:
* Insert a flathead screwdriver into the slot under the selector cover.
* Push the cover up and remove it.
3. Unscrew the handle mounting bolts:
* Under the selector cover there are two bolts securing the handle with a 10 mm head.
* Unscrew both bolts.
4. Remove the selector handle:
* Gently pull the selector handle up and remove it from the shaft.
5. Press out the cladding clamps:
* There are several latches around the perimeter of the selector trim.
* Carefully press out the latches using a screwdriver or plastic card.
6. Remove the trim:
* After all the latches are released, the lining will be removed along with the control unit.
7. Disconnect the control unit connector:
* There is a connector on the back of the control unit.
* Press the connector latch and disconnect it.
8. Remove the control unit:
* Gently pull the control unit up and off the shaft.
Adviсe:
* Be careful not to damage the trim fasteners.
*Before reinstallation, thoroughly clean all surfaces.
* Make sure all bolts and latches are properly tightened.
* After reassembly, recheck the correct operation of the automatic transmission selector.
