Replacing a cooling radiator on a Lada Granta with automatic transmission
Tools and materials:
* New cooling radiator
* Coolant collection container
* Drain plug
* Set of keys and screwdrivers
* Sealant for gaskets
Procedure:
1. Prepare the car. Place the vehicle on a level surface, apply the parking brake and turn off the engine. Allow the engine to cool.
2. Drain the coolant. Unscrew the drain plug on the lower radiator tank and drain the liquid into a prepared container.
3. Remove the lower radiator hose. Loosen the clamp and remove the lower hose from the radiator pipe.
4. Remove the upper radiator hose. Loosen the clamp and remove the upper hose from the radiator pipe.
5. Remove the radiator mountings. Unscrew the bolts or nuts that secure the radiator to the supporting frame.
6. Remove the radiator. Carefully pull the radiator out of its place.
7. Install a new radiator. Insert the new radiator into place.
8. Install the radiator mountings. Install the radiator mountings and tighten the bolts or nuts.
9. Connect the radiator hoses. Connect the upper and lower radiator hoses and tighten the clamps.
10. Fill with coolant. Fill the cooling system with fresh coolant.
11. Check for leaks. Start the engine and let it run. Check for coolant leaks.
12. Check the coolant level. After the engine has cooled, check the coolant level and add if necessary.
Adviсe:
*Use gasket sealant on radiator hose gaskets to prevent leaks.
* Make sure all connections are tightened correctly to prevent leaks.
* Drain coolant to a safe location and dispose of it properly.
* Use only manufacturer-recommended coolant.
