An electrician truck diagnostician deals with the diagnosis, maintenance and repair of electronic systems in trucks. This role requires in-depth knowledge of electronics and electrical systems, as well as an understanding of the mechanical aspects of trucks.
Responsibilities
* Diagnose and troubleshoot using diagnostic equipment and technical manuals
* Testing and repairing electrical components such as batteries, starters, alternators and wiring
* Installation, maintenance and repair of electronic systems including engine management systems, ABS and instrument panels
* Reading and interpreting electrical diagrams and service manuals
* Consulting drivers and other mechanics on electrical systems issues
* Maintaining records of work done and parts replaced
Skills and Qualifications
* Certificate or Diploma in Electronics or Electrical Engineering
* Experience working with trucks
*Strong troubleshooting skills
* Knowledge of truck electronic systems

*ASE certification or equivalent qualifications preferred
