Job description:
An electrical technician is responsible for maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing complex electrical systems in vehicles such as cars, trucks, and buses.
Responsibilities:
* Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical systems including starters, alternators, batteries and lighting systems
* Repair and replace electrical components such as fuses, relays and wires
* Perform routine maintenance, including checking and cleaning electrical connections and components
*Use diagnostic equipment and tools to identify and resolve problems
* Observe safety precautions and rules for working with electricity
* Advise clients on maintenance and repair of electrical systems
* Maintain documentation of work performed and spare parts used
Requirements:
* High school diploma or equivalent education
* Minimum 3 years of experience as a machine repairman electrician
*Excellent knowledge of vehicle electrical systems
* Ability to use diagnostic equipment and tools
* Skills in soldering and working with power tools
*Strong interpersonal and customer relations skills
* Certification in Vehicle Repair (preferred)
Preferred qualities:
* Experience with hybrid and electric vehicles
* Passion for automotive electricity
* Ability to work independently and in a team
*Attention to detail and precision
