Requirements

* Licensed electrician (recommended)
* Three-prong receptacle with ground (120/240 V, 20 A)
* Safety switch (20 A)
* Special electrical circuit for washing machine (recommended)
* Flexible metal wire (6 AWG)

Instructions

1. Select a location:

* Select a location near a water supply and drain.
* Make sure there is enough space to open the door and connect the hoses.

2. Chain preparation:

* Run a new electrical circuit from the distribution panel to the outlet.
* Install a special 20 A safety switch in the distribution board.

3. Installation of the socket:

* Install a three-prong, grounded socket approximately 45 cm above the floor.
* Connect the outlet to the new electrical circuit.

4. Connecting the electrical wire:

* Connect the flexible metal wire to the terminals on the back of the washing machine.
*Make sure the wire matches the color coding of the terminals (ground = green or copper; neutral = white; hot = black or red).

5. Grounding check:

* Make sure the washing machine is properly grounded.
* Measure the resistance between the ground terminal on the washing machine and the ground terminal on the outlet. It should be less than 1 ohm.

6. Turn on the power:

* Turn on the safety switch and apply power to the outlet.
* Turn on the washing machine to check that it is working correctly.
