Cobalt automatic transmission positions:
P (Parking) — Parking. The gearbox is locked and the car cannot move.
R (Reverse) — Reverse. The gearbox shifts to reverse gear.
N (Neutral) — Neutral. The gearbox is not engaged, the car can roll freely due to inertia.
D (Drive) — Movement. The transmission shifts from gears 1 to 4 depending on vehicle speed and load.
