Required tools and materials:
* New gearbox
* New transmission oil and filter
* Transit support
* Lift or jack with stands
* Wrench set
* Hex key
* Pliers
* Gasket sealant
* Brake cleaner
Replacement procedure:
1. Preparation
* Keep your vehicle safe by setting the parking brake and disconnecting the negative terminal of the battery.
* Drain the transmission oil from the old gearbox.
2. Removing the old gearbox
* Disconnect the battery from the box.
* Disconnect the wiring harness from the box.
* Disconnect all vacuum pipes and oil hoses.
* Remove the starter.
* While supporting the box with a jack, disconnect the driveshaft.
* Disconnect all control cables.
* Unscrew the bolts securing the box to the engine.
* Carefully lower the box from the car.
3. Installation of a new gearbox
* Place the new box in place using a jack.
* Tighten the bolts securing the box to the engine.
* Connect the driveshaft.
* Connect all control cables.
* Install the starter.
* Connect the wiring harness to the box.
* Connect the battery to the box.
4. Filling with transmission oil
* Install a new transmission filter.
* Fill with new transmission fluid to the required level.
5. Functionality check
* Start the engine and check that the transmission shifts correctly.
* Check for transmission fluid leaks.
* Drive the car and make sure it works properly.
