Checking the automatic transmission oil level in Infiniti cars

Required materials:

* Rag or paper towel
* Automatic transmission oil level dipstick

Procedure:

1. Warm up the engine and gearbox. Drive the vehicle for 10-15 minutes to allow the engine and transmission to warm up to operating temperature.
2. Park on a level surface. Set the car to the parking brake.
3. Open the hood. Find the automatic transmission oil level dipstick. It usually has a yellow or red handle.
4. Remove and wipe the dipstick. Pull the dipstick out and wipe it with a clean rag or paper towel.
5. Insert the dipstick back. Insert the dipstick back into the tube and push it all the way down.
6. Remove the dipstick again and check the oil level. There should be two marks on the dipstick: “MIN” (minimum level) and “MAX” (maximum level). The oil level should be between these marks.
7. Adjusting the oil level (if necessary). If the oil level is below the “MIN” mark, it is necessary to add it to the gearbox. Use only oil recommended by the Infiniti manufacturer for your model. If the oil level exceeds the “MAX” mark, some of the oil must be drained.

Additional tips:

* Check the automatic transmission oil level every time your vehicle is serviced or at least once a year.
* Regularly checking the automatic transmission oil level helps extend the life of the transmission and prevent costly repairs.
* If you notice any automatic transmission oil leaks, contact a service center immediately.

Cautions:

* Never exceed the automatic transmission oil level indicated on the dipstick. Overfilling can damage the gearbox.
* Use only automatic transmission oil recommended by your vehicle manufacturer. The wrong type of oil can cause transmission problems.
