Responsibilities of a car electrical specialist:
Diagnostics:
* Troubleshooting in vehicle electrical systems
* Use of diagnostic equipment such as scanners and multimeters
* Analysis of electrical wiring diagrams and technical documentation
Repair:
* Repair or replace wiring, connectors and electronic components
* Fixes problems with headlights, turn signals, power windows and other electrical systems
* Troubleshooting starters, generators and batteries
Installation and upgrade:
* Installation of new electrical components such as alarms, stereos and lighting
* Upgrade existing electrical systems to improve performance and safety
* Compliance with safety regulations and manufacturer specifications
Service:
* Periodic inspection and maintenance of electrical systems
* Checking and replacing fuses, relays and other consumables
* Maintaining cleanliness and condition of electrical wiring
Skills and Qualifications:
* Knowledge of the operating principles of vehicle electrical equipment
* Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams
* Diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
* Practical experience with electrical tools and equipment
* Good communication skills and ability to work with clients
Education and Certification:
*Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
*Automotive Electrical Diagnostics and Repair (ASE) certification is desirable
