Diagnostics
1. Inspection
* Check fuses and relays for blown or damaged ones.
* Inspect wires and connectors for damage or corrosion.
* Study the wiring diagram to understand the system.
2. Analysis< * Measure the voltage at various points in the system. * Use an indicator screwdriver to check continuity. * Identify the source of the fault (fuse, wire, connection, component). Repair 1. Replacing the fuse * Determine the type and rating of the faulty fuse. * Replace it with a fuse of the same type and rating. 2. Restoration of wiring * Clean the damaged section of the wire. * Twist the bare ends of the wires together. * Insulate the twist with electrical tape. 3. Cleaning and lubricating connectors * Disconnect the connector. * Clean contacts from corrosion. * Apply dielectric grease to the contacts. * Assemble the connector. 4. Replacement of components * Identify the faulty component (eg light bulb, switch). * Disconnect the component from the system. * Install a new component. After renovation * Connect the battery. * Check the system operation. * Make sure all connections are secure and insulated. Adviсe * Use quality components. * Observe the correct color coding of wires. * Avoid laying wires near sources of heat or moisture. * Leave a small margin of wire length to prevent stress. *If unsure, consult a professional auto electrician.
