Automatic transmission selector Toyota Land Cruiser 200
The automatic transmission selector on the Toyota Land Cruiser 200 is electronically controlled and located on the center console. It allows you to switch transmission modes, as well as activate downshift modes and differential locking.
Selector positions:
*P (Parking): Locks the transmission when the vehicle is parked.
* R (Reverse): Engages reverse gear.
* N (Neutral): Disables the transmission.
* D (Drive, Primary Drive Mode): Switches the transmission to automatic mode, adapting to driving conditions.
*2 (Second Gear): Locks the transmission in second gear for low speed driving.
* L (Low): Locks the transmission in the lowest gear for very low speed or off-road driving.
Selector buttons:
* PWR (Power): Activates Sport mode for more aggressive powertrain operation.
* ECT (Eco Mode): Activates Eco mode for maximum fuel economy.
* SNOW (Snow): Optimizes transmission performance for slippery road conditions.
* M (Manual): Allows you to change gears manually using the steering wheel paddle shifters.
Additional features:
* Downshift Mode: Activating the lever to the left of the selector engages a downshift mode that reduces torque to the wheels for greater off-road traction.
* Differential Lock: Press the button to the left of the downshift lever to lock the center differential, increasing traction on difficult surfaces.
