Required materials and tools:

* New Hyundai SP-IV gear oil (about 5 liters)
* New transmission filter
* Transmission pan gasket
* Lift or jacks
* Duckbills or pliers
* Drain plug key (17 mm)
* Pan bolt wrench (10 mm)
* Transmission oil level dipstick
* Funnel

Procedure:

1. Raise the car on a lift or place it on jacks.
2. Unscrew the transmission pan drain plug and drain the oil into the pan.
3. Unscrew the transmission pan mounting bolts and carefully remove it.
4. Replace the transmission filter with a new one.
5. Clean the pan and surrounding surface of the transmission of old seal and dirt.
6. Apply a thin layer of sealant to the new pan gasket and install it in place.
7. Tighten the pan bolts to 4 Nm.
8. Insert the drain plug into the pan and tighten it to 47 Nm.
9. Pour new oil into the transmission through the oil level dipstick tube. Fill in about 3 liters of oil.
10. Start the engine and let it idle for a few minutes.
11. Shift the gear lever through all gears, holding each position for a few seconds.
12. Turn off the engine and check the oil level using the dipstick. Add oil as needed until it reaches the “HOT” mark.
13. Reset the service counter for the transmission, if equipped.

Adviсe:

* Use only original Hyundai SP-IV oil.
* Replace the transmission filter every 60,000 km.
* It is recommended to completely change the transmission oil after 90,000 km.
*If the oil has a dark color or a burning smell, the transmission may need to be flushed.
