To start driving a car with an automatic transmission:

1. Start the engine. Make sure the car is in Park (‘P’) or Neutral (‘N’) mode.
2. Move the transmission selector to ‘D’ (Drive).
3. Press the brake pedal. This unlocks the gear shift lever.
4. Take your foot off the brake pedal. The car will begin to move forward slowly.
5. Accelerate using the gas pedal. Press the gas pedal smoothly to avoid jerking.

Adviсe:

* Do not press the gas pedal before removing your foot from the brake pedal.
* Do not keep your foot on the brake pedal while driving as this may cause the brakes to overheat.
* If the car does not move after you take your foot off the brake pedal, make sure it is in ‘D’ (Drive) mode.
* If the car still does not move or makes unusual noises, take it to a mechanic.
