Automatic transmission control mode in Ford Focus:
Gear selector:
*P (Parking): Used when the vehicle is parked.
* R (Reverse): For reversing.
* N (Neutral): To engage neutral gear.
* D (Drive): For normal forward movement.
* S (Sport): For a sportier driving experience with higher revs and faster gear changes.
* L (Low): For low speed driving, such as when driving on a steep slope or when towing.
Usage:
1. Starting the engine: Make sure the gear selector is in position P or N.
2. Shifting gears: Press the gear selector release button on the steering column. Move the selector to the desired position.
3. Driving: Release the brake and press the accelerator pedal to start driving.
4. Manual gear shifting (optional): For this purpose, some Ford Focus models have the ability to manually change gears using the steering wheel paddles or the gear selector itself.
5. Parking: Move the gear selector to P, press the unlock button and turn off the engine.
Adviсe:
* Do not change gears while driving.
* Do not keep your foot on the brake pedal when the vehicle is not moving.
*When driving down a steep slope, switch to L mode.
* Maintain your transmission regularly by replacing transmission fluid and filters.
