Automatic transmission gasket for Hyundai Grand Starex

Required materials:

* New automatic transmission gasket
* Automatic transmission oil
* Automatic transmission filter (if necessary)
* Transmission sealant
* Tool set

Steps to replace the automatic transmission gasket:

1. Preparation:

* Raise the car on a lift or place it on secure stands.
* Disconnect the negative battery cable.
* Gather the necessary tools and materials.

2. Draining the automatic transmission oil:

* Place a container under the automatic transmission pan.
* Loosen the drain plug and drain the oil.

3. Removing the automatic transmission pan:

* Unscrew the bolts securing the automatic transmission pan.
* Carefully remove the pan, being careful not to damage the gasket.
* Clean the pan and the seat on the automatic transmission housing from the old gasket and oil residues.

4. Replacing the gasket:

* Apply a thin layer of sealant to the new gasket.
* Install a new gasket on the automatic transmission housing.
* Reinstall the automatic transmission pan and tighten the bolts in a cross pattern.

5. Installing an automatic transmission filter (if necessary):

*If you decide to replace the automatic transmission filter, do so at this time.
*Remove the old filter and install a new one.

6. Filling automatic transmission oil:

* Fill in new automatic transmission oil through the filler plug.
* Check the oil level on the dipstick and add if necessary.

7. Check for leaks:

* Start the engine and let it idle for a few minutes.
* Check under the car for oil leaks.

8. Completion:

* Connect the negative battery cable.
* Lower the vehicle and check for leaks.
* Check the operation of the automatic transmission in different modes.
