Automatic transfer case repair

Required tools and materials:

* Transmission repair tool kit
* Transfer case oil
* Transfer case pan gasket
* Transfer case filter (if necessary)

Procedure:

1. Preparatory work:

* Disconnect the battery.
* Drain the oil from the transfer case.
* Remove the driveshaft.

2. Dismantling the transfer case:

* Remove the bolts securing the transfer case to the transmission and chassis.
* Carefully remove the transfer case.

3. Disassembling the transfer case:

* Unscrew the bolts securing the transfer case pan.
* Remove the pan and gasket.
* Remove shafts, gears and other parts.

4. Inspection and troubleshooting:

* Carefully inspect all parts for wear, damage or defects.
* Replace worn or faulty components as necessary.

5. Transfer case assembly:

* Reassemble the transfer case in reverse order.
* Install a new pan gasket.
* Tighten the pallet mounting bolts.

6. Installation of transfer case:

* Carefully reinstall the transfer case.
* Tighten the mounting bolts.
* Install the driveshaft.

7. Oil filling:

* Fill the transfer case with new oil to the required level.

8. Testing:

* Connect the battery.
* Check the operation of the transfer case in all modes.
* Repair any leaks or malfunctions.
