Standard shift lever positions:
*P (Park): Locks the transmission, preventing the vehicle from moving.
* R (Reverse): Engages reverse gear for reversing.
* N (neutral): Disables the transmission. The car can roll freely.
* D (Drive): Basic forward driving mode. Switches automatically between gears.
Additional provisions:
* L (Low): Used for climbing steep grades, off-road driving or towing.
* 1, 2, 3: Fixed gears allowing manual selection of the desired gear ratio.
* S (Sport): A mode that optimizes gear shifting for a sportier ride.
* +/- (boost or downshift): Manual shifters that allow you to upshift or downshift.
Gear shift procedure:
1. Press the brake pedal.
2. Move the gear shift lever to the desired position.
3. Release the brake pedal and press the accelerator pedal to start driving.
Note:
* Shifting to the “P” or “R” positions should only be done when the vehicle is completely stopped.
* Do not shift to the “N” position while driving, as this may damage the transmission.
* If manual shifting is necessary, use the +/- switches only while driving.
