Parking modes:

* P (Parking): Places the transmission into park mode, locking the drive wheels.
* N (Neutral): The transmission is neutral and the drive wheels are not locked. Used for towing or starting the engine.

Driving modes:

* R (Reverse): Places the transmission in reverse.
* D (Drive): Places the transmission in normal driving mode. The transmission automatically changes gears depending on speed and load.
* L (Low): Places the transmission in a low gear mode, which provides more torque at low speeds. Used for steep climbs or towing.
* 2 (Second): Places the transmission into second gear, limiting automatic shifting above second gear. Used for better control when driving at low speeds.
* 1 (First): Places the transmission in first gear, limiting automatic shifting above first. Used to overcome steep climbs, off-road or tow heavy loads.

Other icons:

* S (Sport): Places the transmission in Sport mode, providing faster gear changes and increased throttle response.
* M (Manual): Places the transmission in manual mode, allowing the driver to manually change gears using the gear lever or steering wheel paddles.
* W (Winter): Sets the transmission to winter mode, which provides smoother shifting in slippery conditions.
* Eco or Fuel Economy: Places the transmission in Eco mode, which optimizes gear changes for maximum fuel economy.
* OT (Overdrive): Enables or disables the overdrive function. When enabled, this feature locks top gear to improve fuel economy at higher speeds.
