Adaptation of automatic transmission Mazda CX-5 2014

Automatic transmission adaptation may be required after the following events:

* Automatic transmission service or repair
* Changing automatic transmission oil
* Automatic transmission software update

Required equipment:

* OBD2 diagnostic scanner

Steps to adapt the automatic transmission:

1. Connect the diagnostic scanner to the vehicle.
2. Start the engine and let it idle for a few minutes.
3. Select the automatic transmission control module from the scanner menu.
4. Find the “Automatic transmission adaptation” parameter or similar.
5. Follow the instructions on the scanner to start the onboarding process.

The adaptation process can take from 10 to 30 minutes.

6. Once the process is completed, the scanner will display a successful adaptation message.
7. Disconnect the diagnostic scanner from the vehicle.

After adapting the automatic transmission, perform the following steps:

* Drive the car for at least 20 minutes in a variety of driving conditions (city, highway, stop-and-go).
* This will allow the automatic transmission to learn your driving habits and adjust shift points accordingly.

Note:

*If the adaptation process fails, there may be a problem with the automatic transmission or the diagnostic scanner.
* It is recommended that you contact a qualified mechanic for further diagnosis and repair.
