Removal

1. Disconnect the negative terminal of the battery.
2. Raise and secure the vehicle on the lift.
3. Remove the front left wheel.
4. Remove the engine splash guard.
5. Unscrew the bolt securing the oil pan to the oil pump.
6. Carefully remove the oil pan, being careful not to damage the gasket.
7. Rotate the crankshaft so that the lower connecting rod bearing is visible from the flywheel side.
8. Install the oil seal puller and remove the crankshaft oil seal.

Installation

1. Lubricate the new oil seal with engine oil.
2. Reinstall the oil seal using a mandrel.
3. Reinstall the oil pan using a new gasket.
4. Tighten the oil pan mounting bolt.
5. Install the engine splash guard.
6. Install the wheel.
7. Lower the vehicle.
8. Connect the negative terminal of the battery.
9. Add engine oil.
10. Start the engine and check for leaks.
