Removing the Hyundai Accent automatic transmission drive oil seal

Tools:

* Wrench set
* Hex wrench 10
* Mounting blade
* Flat head screwdriver
* New drive seal

Removal procedure:

1. Place the vehicle on a level surface and secure it with the parking brake.
2. Raise the front of the car and place it on stands.
3. Remove the wheel from the drive side where the oil seal needs to be replaced.
4. Unscrew the wheel hub nut and remove the brake caliper. Hang the caliper on a wire without disconnecting the brake hose.
5. Unscrew the bolt securing the lower arm to the steering knuckle and disconnect the arm.
6. Unscrew the stabilizer bar mounting bolts and remove the strut.
7. Unscrew the hex bolt at the end of the drive, holding it from turning with a gas wrench.
8. Carefully pry the drive with a mounting blade and pull it out of the gearbox.
9. Remove the old oil seal by prying it off with a flathead screwdriver.
10. Clean the seat of any old sealant or dirt.
11. Apply a thin layer of sealant to the inner edge of the new oil seal and install it in place.
12. Insert the drive back into the transmission, aligning the splines.
13. Screw in the bolt at the end of the drive and tighten it to 60 Nm.
14. Reinstall the stabilizer bar link, lower control arm bolt, and brake caliper.
15. Install the wheel and tighten the wheel hub nut to 105 Nm.
16. Remove the vehicle from the stands.

Adviсe:

* Use new sealant when installing the oil seal to ensure a tight seal.
* Be careful when removing the drive to avoid damaging parts.
* Do not use excessive force when tightening bolts and nuts.
