Removing the automatic transmission handle Nissan Micra K12

Required tools:

* Philips screwdriver (phillips)
* Flat head screwdriver

Instructions:

1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal: Open the hood and loosen the nut on the negative battery terminal. Disconnect the terminal and set it aside.

2. Remove the side panel: Carefully pry up the driver’s side panel with a flathead screwdriver. Remove the panel carefully to avoid breaking the latches.

3. Remove the screws: Using a Philips screwdriver, remove the two screws located under the side panel that secure the shift knob.

4. Lift the shift knob: Grasp the shift knob and pull it up and toward you to disengage it from the shift mechanism.

5. Disconnect the electrical connector: Find the electrical connector connected to the automatic transmission handle. Press the connector tab and gently pull it to disconnect.

Installation:

1. Connect the electrical connector.
2. Lower the automatic transmission handle into place and tighten the fastening screws.
3. Reinstall the side panel.
4. Connect the negative terminal of the battery.

Adviсe:

* Be careful not to damage the plastic latches when removing the side panel.
* Do not pull the automatic transmission handle with excessive force, so as not to damage the gear shift mechanism.
*If you experience any difficulties, consult a qualified mechanic.
