Removing the valve body from a Peugeot 308 automatic transmission

Tools and materials:

* Hex key set
* Set of socket wrenches or sockets
* Flat head screwdriver
* Rags
* Drain pan for transmission fluid

Procedure:

1. Disconnect the battery: Disconnect the negative terminal of the battery.
2. Drain the transmission fluid: Place a tray under the automatic transmission and unscrew the drain plug. Drain all transmission fluid.
3. Remove the automatic transmission pan: Unscrew the bolts securing the automatic transmission pan and carefully remove it.
4. Disconnect electrical connectors: Disconnect all electrical connectors connected to the valve body.
5. Unscrew the valve body mounting bolts: Using a hex wrench, unscrew the valve body mounting bolts.
6. Remove the valve body: Carefully remove the valve body from the automatic transmission. Be careful as there may be residual transmission fluid inside it.

Additional tips:

* Make sure the transmission fluid is cool before starting work.
* Use a new valve body gasket when installing.
* Be sure to keep things clean when performing this procedure, as any debris that gets into the automatic transmission can cause problems.
* Do not over-tighten the valve body mounting bolts.
* After installing the valve body, check the transmission fluid level and add it if necessary.
