Removing the emergency mode of the automatic transmission on your own:

1. Define the problem:

* Scan trouble codes using a code scanner.
* Check the level and condition of the transmission fluid.
* Check for leaks or damage.

2. Reset fault codes:

* Disconnect the negative terminal of the battery for 10 minutes.
* Reconnect the battery terminal.
* Start the engine and let it idle for 5 minutes.

3. Check the level and condition of the transmission fluid:

* Measure the transmission fluid level using the dipstick or drain plug.
* Check the liquid for color, odor and impurities.

4. Correct leaks or damage:

* Replace damaged gaskets, seals or hoses.
* Tighten any loose bolts or nuts.

5. Take a test drive:

* Drive at different speeds and under different loads.
* Listen for unusual noises or vibrations.

6. Check for repeated faults:

* Scan the trouble codes again.
*If fault codes are present, the problem is not resolved.

7. Contact a professional:

*If you are unable to resolve the problem yourself, contact a qualified mechanic.

Note:

* Not all automatic transmission problems can be solved by resetting fault codes.
* If the automatic transmission’s limp mode is accompanied by loss of power, noise or vibration, contact your mechanic immediately.
