Symptoms of a faulty Nissan Note automatic transmission reduction resistor:

* Problems with gear shifting
* Engine speed too high
* Delay when switching gears
* Shock shifts
* Check engine light on the dashboard

Location:

The reduction resistor is usually located in the engine compartment, next to the automatic transmission or automatic transmission control unit.

Replacement process:

Tools and materials:

* New pull-down resistor
* Wrench
* Screwdriver

Steps:

1. Disconnect the negative terminal of the battery.
2. Locate the pull-down resistor in the engine compartment.
