Automatic transmission selector positions:

*P (Park): Locks the transmission and rear wheels.
* R (Reverse): Activates reverse gear.
* N (Neutral): Disables the transmission but does not lock the wheels.
* D (Drive): Basic driving mode, automatic gear shifting.
* 3 (Third Gear): Fixes the transmission in third gear.
* 2 (Second Gear): Fixes the transmission in second gear.
* +/-: Manual shift mode (if available).

Controls:

* Selector release button: Located to the right of the selector, must be pressed to move the selector from position P.
* Ignition key lock: Prevents the key from being removed from the ignition switch if the selector lever is not in position P or N.

Additional features (depending on model):

* Tiptronic: Manual gear shift mode controlled by the automatic transmission selector.
*Sport Mode: Changes transmission settings for more aggressive shift behavior.
* Winter mode: Limits wheel slip when starting off on slippery surfaces.
