Automatic transmission selector Nissan Pathfinder R51

It is located on the center console of the car and is designed to select the operating mode of the automatic transmission.

Selector positions:

* P (Park): Parking. Locks the transmission and holds the car in place when parked.
* R (Reverse): Reverse. Engages reverse gear.
* N (Neutral): Neutral. The transmission is not engaged, the engine is not connected to the wheels.
* D (Drive): Forward movement. Enables normal driving mode with automatic gear shifting.

* L (Low): Low gear. Used to overcome difficult conditions (for example, off-road or steep climbs).

Additional features:

*Lock Element: Requires pressing a button (usually on the top of the selector) to switch from “P” or “N” mode to any other mode.
* Programmable switch: Allows you to customize the behavior of the transmission depending on driving conditions (for example, sport or economy mode).
* Current gear display: The selected gear is displayed on the instrument panel (manual mode only).
