Aisin automatic transmission oil change schedule
Normal operating conditions:
* Every 60,000 km or 4 years: Check the oil level and top up if necessary.
* Every 120,000 km or 8 years: Change oil, filter and pan gasket.
Severe operating conditions:
* Every 40,000 km or 3 years: Check the oil level and top up if necessary.
* Every 80,000 km or 6 years: Change oil, filter and pan gasket.
Severe operating conditions include:
*Trailer towing
* Regular uphill driving
* Frequent short trips (less than 10 km)
* Extreme temperatures (above 35°C or below -30°C)
Aisin automatic transmission oil change procedure:
Materials:
* Aisin automatic transmission oil (check the recommended oil specification for your specific car model)
* Automatic transmission filter
* Automatic transmission pan gasket
* Automatic transmission pan plug
* Brush for cleaning the tray
Tools:
* Drain plug key
* Oil filter wrench
* Lift (recommended)
* Drain pan
* Funnel
Steps:
1. Raise the car. Place the car on a lift or use stands to provide access to the automatic transmission.
2. Drain the old oil. Unscrew the drain plug and drain the old oil into the drain pan.
3. Remove the automatic transmission pan. Unscrew the bolts securing the pan and remove it.
4. Replace the automatic transmission filter. Remove the old filter and install the new one.
5. Clean the automatic transmission pan. Remove the old gasket and clean the pan of deposits.
6. Install the automatic transmission pan. Install a new gasket and tighten the bolts.
7. Fill with new oil. Fill in new oil through the filler tube.
8. Check the oil level. Check the oil level using the dipstick.
9. Start the engine. Start the engine and shift through all gears.
10. Check the oil level again. Make sure the oil level is within the operating range.
