Automatic transmission filter location:

1. Under the hood, at the bottom of the gearbox.
2. Covered with a plastic cover with bolts.

Automatic transmission filter replacement intervals:

* Every 100,000 km (or every 5 years) under normal operating conditions.
* Every 60,000 km (or every 3 years) for severe driving conditions, including towing, off-road driving or in traffic jams.

Replacing the automatic transmission filter

Replacing an automatic transmission filter requires special tools and experience. It is recommended that you have a qualified mechanic perform this task.

Procedure for replacing the automatic transmission filter:

1. Raise the car using a lift or jack.
2. Remove the plastic cover covering the automatic transmission filter.
3. Remove the old filter and O-ring.
4. Clean the filter seat from dirt and residue.
5. Install a new O-ring and automatic transmission filter.
6. Reinstall the plastic cover and tighten the bolts.
7. Fill the transmission with new transmission fluid.
8. Start the engine and shift the gearshift lever through all positions to remove air from the system.
9. Check the transmission fluid level and add it if necessary.
