Location of the automatic transmission pan drain plug on a Lada Granta:
1. Drive the vehicle onto a ramp or lift to provide access to the underbody.
2. Remove the engine crankcase protection (if installed).
3. Place a container under the automatic transmission pan to collect used oil.
Removing the drain plug:
4. Find the drain plug on the automatic transmission pan. It is usually located at the bottom of the pan, towards the rear of the car.
5. Place a hex wrench or socket wrench on the drain plug and unscrew it counterclockwise.
6. Wait until the oil has completely drained into the container.
Installing the drain plug:
7. Clean the drain plug from any remaining oil.
8. Apply sealant or Teflon paste to the threads of the drain plug.
9. Screw the drain plug into place by hand, and then tighten it with a wrench to the torque specified in the repair manual.
Standard oil volume in Lada Granta automatic transmission:
* 5.3 liters (for Jatco automatic transmission)
* 5.1 liters (for DPO automatic transmission)
Note: Remember to regularly check the automatic transmission oil level and change the oil according to the recommended service interval.
