Section 1: Diagnosis and Troubleshooting

1.1. Symptoms of malfunction

* Slipping or slipping
* Knocks or jolts when shifting gears
*No movement when shifting into gear
* Overheating
* Fluid leaks

1.2. Possible reasons

* Worn or damaged clutches
* Defective solenoids
*Low level or contaminated fluid
* Faulty torque converter
* Mechanical problems

1.3. Diagnostics

* Check the level and condition of the automatic transmission fluid.
* Connect the scanner to the ECU and check for fault codes.
* Check the automatic transmission fluid pressure using a pressure gauge.
* Perform a test cut to check clutches and other internal components.

Section 2: Removal and Disassembly

2.1. Removing the automatic transmission

* Disconnect the battery terminals.
* Drain the automatic transmission fluid.
* Disconnect the drive shafts, wiring harnesses and vacuum hoses.
* Loosen the automatic transmission mounting bolts and lower it using a transmission jack.

2.2. Automatic transmission disassembly

* Remove the automatic transmission pan.
* Disconnect the oil pump and torque converter.
* Remove the hydraulic plate.
* Disassemble the automatic transmission housing into parts.

Section 3: Repair

3.1. Replacing clutches

* Remove old clutches.
* Install new clutches in the correct order and direction.
* Apply sealant to the joints between the clutches and metal discs.

3.2. Replacing solenoids

* Disconnect the solenoid electrical connector.
* Unscrew the solenoid using a suitable tool.
* Install the new solenoid in reverse order.

3.3. Replacing the torque converter

* Remove the torque converter from the automatic transmission input shaft.
* Install the new torque converter using the special tool.

Section 4: Assembly and Installation

4.1. Automatic transmission assembly

* Reassemble the automatic transmission in the reverse order of its disassembly.
* Install the hydraulic plate and oil pump.
* Install the automatic transmission pan.

4.2. Automatic transmission installation

* Raise the automatic transmission into place using a transmission jack.
* Tighten the automatic transmission mounting bolts.
* Connect all necessary wiring harnesses, vacuum hoses and drive shafts.
* Fill with automatic transmission fluid.

Section 5: Setup and Adjustment

5.1. Adjusting the shift cable

*Adjust the shift cable to manufacturer specifications.
*Check gear shifting correctly.

5.2. Automatic transmission adaptation

* Connect the scanner to the automatic transmission ECU.
* Perform the adaptation procedure following the manufacturer’s instructions.
* Check that the automatic transmission is operating correctly.

5.3. Control tests

* Drive the car in various driving conditions.
* Check for leaks, noise or other problems.
*Consult a qualified mechanic if any problems occur.
