Automatic transmission adaptation process

Adaptation of the automatic transmission is necessary for its correct operation. Here is a step-by-step guide to properly adapting an automatic transmission:

1. Reset adaptive values

* Start the engine and let it idle for a few minutes.
* Disconnect the battery terminal for 10-15 minutes to reset the automatic transmission control unit.
* Connect the battery and start the engine.

2. Warming up the gearbox

* Switch the automatic transmission selector to position “D” (Drive) and let it idle for 5-10 minutes.
* Do not allow the wheels to slip or slip at this stage.

3. Gear shift

* Start changing gears slowly and carefully, stopping in each range for a few seconds.
* Do not rush or overload the transmission.
* Repeat this for all transmission ranges (P, R, N, D, S).

4. Acceleration and deceleration

* After changing all gears, begin to accelerate and decelerate smoothly, avoiding sudden jerks and stops.
* Repeat this for 10-15 minutes, covering different speeds and driving conditions.

5. Completion of adaptation

* Complete the adaptation by driving the car for at least 30-50 kilometers in various driving conditions.
* As you drive, the car will adjust the automatic transmission settings to suit your driving style.

Adviсe:

* For better adaptation, use high-quality gear oil recommended by the manufacturer.
* Avoid driving short distances during adaptation.
* If any problems occur during adaptation, contact a qualified mechanic.
* Perform regularly scheduled automatic transmission maintenance, including oil and filter changes, to maintain optimal performance.
