The procedure for changing the oil in a robot automatic transmission

Materials and tools:

* New gear oil recommended by the manufacturer
* New oil pan gasket
* Keys or ratchet
* Oil drain container
* Funnel
* Rags

Instructions:

1. Preparation

* Place the vehicle on a level surface and set the parking brake.
* Warm up the engine to operating temperature and then turn it off.

2. Drain the old oil

* Locate the transmission pan, which is usually located under the vehicle.
* Place a container under the crankcase drain hole.
* Loosen the drain plug and drain the oil.

3. Replacing the gasket

* Unscrew the oil pan bolts and remove it.
* Clean the pan and the crankcase mating surface of the old gasket.
* Install a new gasket around the perimeter of the pan.

4. Filling with new oil

* Reinstall the oil pan and tighten the bolts.
* Locate the crankcase filler hole. Usually it is on top.
* Using a funnel, pour new oil into the crankcase.

5. Checking the oil level

* Fill in as much oil as indicated in the instruction manual.
* Check the oil level using the dipstick or level plug.
*Add oil if necessary.

6. Reset indicators

*If your vehicle is equipped with an electronically controlled transmission, reset the oil change counter. The specific procedure depends on the make and model of the car.

Notes:

* The oil change interval in a robot automatic transmission is usually 60,000 – 100,000 km. However, it is recommended to check and, if necessary, change the oil more often, especially under severe operating conditions.
* Use only gear oil recommended by the manufacturer.
* If the gearbox is heavily dirty, it is recommended to flush it before changing the oil.
*If there are any signs of transmission malfunction, such as slipping or noise, contact your auto repair shop for diagnosis.
