Electronics problems

* Malfunctioning Transmission Control Module (TCM): May cause limp shifting and other problems.
* Malfunctioning speed sensors: Affects gear shift accuracy, which can lead to slipping or hard shifts.
* Malfunctioning Solenoids: Controls the flow of fluid in the transmission, which can cause problems with shifting or fluid pressure.
* Faulty wiring: Damaged or loose wiring can interfere with the operation of the electronic components of the transmission.

Mechanical problems

* Clutch wear: Natural wear and tear can cause slipping or sticking of the gears, as well as vibrations.
* Malfunctioning planetary gear: May cause grinding, vibration or loss of gears.
* Worn torque converter: Can lead to low fluid pressure, slippage and overheating.
* Pump failure: Does not provide sufficient fluid pressure for proper transmission operation.

Fluid problems

*Low Fluid Level: May cause oil starvation and component damage.
* Fluid contamination: Dirty or old fluid can clog filters and passages, leading to pressure and shifting problems.
* Incorrect Fluid Type: Using the incorrect fluid type can cause shifting problems, wear and component damage.

Other problems

* Gear selector malfunction: May make it difficult to change gears or may not display the selected gear correctly.
* Outboard bearing problems: May cause vibration at certain speeds.
* Clogged radiator: Can cause the transmission to overheat, causing component damage.
* Converter Problems: May cause torque converter lock-up or gear shifting problems.
