Signs of automatic transmission slipping:

1. Engine speed is too high in a certain gear:
* When accelerating or accelerating, the engine speed increases faster than the vehicle speed.
* For example, when shifting from 2nd to 3rd gear, the engine speed increases sharply, but the speed remains the same.

2. Delay when shifting gears:
* The transmission is delayed in upshifting or downshifting.
* This may appear as a jolt or vibration when shifting gears.

3. Accelerator pedal travel is too long:
* To achieve a certain speed, you have to press the gas pedal harder than usual.

4. Transmission fluid pressure is too low:
*Low pressure is indicated by a flashing MIL on the instrument panel.
* You can also check the automatic transmission fluid level to determine if it is sufficient.

5. Slipping when driving on an incline:
* When driving uphill, engine speed increases and vehicle speed decreases. This indicates that the transmission cannot transfer enough torque to the wheels.

6. Strange noises:
* Strange noises such as squealing, grinding or humming may occur, especially during gear changes or when driving uphill.

7. Burnt smell:
* A burning smell may indicate overheating or damage to the transmission fluid and other automatic transmission components.

8. Transmission fluid leaks:
* Leaks may indicate damaged gaskets or seals and lead to low fluid levels in the automatic transmission.

9. Damage to internal automatic transmission components:
* In severe cases, slipping can cause damage to internal transmission components such as friction linings, solenoids, or hydraulic passages.
