Hyundai Accent automatic transmission cushions

Transmission mounts are rubber or hydraulic mounts that secure the transmission to the vehicle frame and reduce vibration and noise transmitted from the engine and transmission.

For the Hyundai Accent automatic, three main transmission mounts are used:

*Front Mount – Supports the front of the transmission and reduces engine vibration transmitted to the frame.
* Rear Cushion – Supports the rear of the transmission and reduces noise and vibration from rear wheel drive.
* Side cushion – stabilizes the transmission laterally and prevents the transmission from moving when accelerating or decelerating.

Signs of faulty transmission mounts:

* Vibrations in the steering wheel, floor or seats
* Noise or knocking noise when shifting gears
*Transmission fluid leak
* Difficulty shifting gears
*Loss of power when accelerating

It is recommended to check the transmission mounts every 60,000-80,000 km and replace them if necessary.

Replacing the transmission mounts is a relatively simple procedure, but is recommended to be performed by a qualified mechanic.
