Automatic driving basics

1. Gear selector:
* P (Parking): Set when parking the vehicle.
* R (Reverse): Used to move backward.
* N (Neutral): The transmission is in neutral and the engine is running.
* D (Drive): Used to drive forward in normal mode.

2. Starting the engine:
*Press the brake pedal.
* Move the gear selector to position P or N.
* Start the engine with the key or button.

3. Movement:
* Release the brake pedal.
* The car will start moving forward.

4. Braking:
*Press the brake pedal to slow down or stop the vehicle.
* The transmission will automatically downshift to assist with engine braking.

5. Switch to parking mode:
* Stop the vehicle completely.
*Press the brake pedal.
* Move the gear selector to position P.
* Apply the parking brake (if equipped).

6. Switching to reverse mode:
* Stop the vehicle completely.
*Press the brake pedal.
* Move the gear selector to position R.
* When driving backwards, keep your foot on the brake pedal.

7. Gear selection (optional):
* Some cars with automatic transmission have additional gear modes:
* S (Sport): More aggressive shifting for better acceleration.
* L (Low): Use when driving off-road or when carrying heavy loads.

Tips for driving with an automatic transmission:

* Do not change gears while driving.
* Do not move the gear selector to P while driving.
* Avoid coasting if possible.
*Service your vehicle regularly to ensure optimal transmission performance.
* If you have problems with the automatic transmission, contact a qualified mechanic.
