The machine box number usually consists of 4-6 characters:

First letter:

* A, J, K: front-wheel drive transmission
* E, G, H: rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive
*F, M, N, P: all-wheel drive transmission

Second letter:

*C, G: 4-speed automatic transmission
*L, O: 5-speed automatic transmission
*W, V: 6-speed automatic transmission
*F, P: 8-speed automatic transmission
* A, B: Automatic transmission with CVT (CVT)

Third character:

* 0, 1, 2, 3, 4: usually the serial number of the version of a particular transmission

Fourth character (optional):

*H, M, R, T, X, Y: May indicate special features or powertrain modifications such as sport mode or increased durability

Applications:

* A4JF1: 4-speed automatic transmission front-wheel drive, 1st version
* E5KTF: 5-speed rear-wheel drive automatic transmission, 3rd version with special functions marked “T”
* F6F30: 6-speed automatic transmission front-wheel drive, version 3
* PV1A: front-wheel drive CVT, 1st version
